A man, who was on a visit to China, was pleasantly surprised upon discovering that the machines in the country have the ability to speak in Hindi. Shantanu Goel shared a post regarding it on X (previously Twitter) and it has gone viral online.Goel, who is currently working at The Trade Desk, shared two pictures from China’s airport. The first picture featured the Foreigner Fingerprint Self-Collection area and the other showed instructions on it in Hindi and Mandarin.The engineer mentioned that the machines in the Asian country also spoke in Hindi upon detecting an Indian passport. “Landed in China. These machines speak in Hindi on detecting my Indian passport,” read the caption of the post.The post has garnered hundreds of thousands views since being shared on Sunday. Social media users were intrigued as well and flooded the comments section with their thoughts. Several people said that the same was applicable in other countries like Singapore and Thailand too.“Only Hindi or did it have other languages?” a user questioned. Another user wrote, “Thailand and Singapore are doing this since last 3/4 years.”“That’s also the case in Singapore and Bangkok! It’s magical to be identified by nationality and greeted at immigration like this,” a third user remarked.A fourth user commented, “That's how you make tourists and business travelers feel welcome. This is one of the secrets of China's success.” “This is so cool,” another person added.
